Essay Contest - We Have a Winner!

Heidi Bjorendhal will be entering her senior year at El Camino High School in Ventura, CA. The campus is located on the Ventura Community College Campus, where Heidi is able to take college-level courses as a part of her high school curriculum. The Ventura east Optimist Club sponsored her.

Next Year's Essay Contest

The topic for the 2011-2012 Optimist Essay Contest is "How my positive Outlook Benefits my Community." The maximum length of the Essay has been increased to an 800-word limit. The contest is open to all students who have not graduated from high school. The district winner is awarded a $2,500 scholarship, furnished by the Optimist International Foundation. As entry forms become available they will be posted here.

 

All Essays are due to the District Chair by Feb. 28, 2012.
