Programs We put on or sponsor many programs throughout our community, and through our many different local clubs.

Junior Blind Olympics - The Optimist Blind Youth Association (OBYA) brings visually impaired athletes to participate in the OPTIMIST-JUNIOR BLIND OLYMPICS.
Dads' Day Dash - Every year the Optimist Clubs of Zone 10 of our district produce this event. Funds raised from the Race provide financial support for the ongoing research at UCLA Mattell Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Department.
Testimonial Contest - In November of last year, Governor Elect Ed Young announced an essay contest with the topic of "I am an Optimist Because." Three prizes are available and the contest is open to all members of Pacific Southwest District.
Optimist Youth Homes - Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services provides culturally sensitive, comprehensive treatment, specialized education and support services to abused, neglected or at-risk children, youth and their families, to promote stability within families and communities. |
