Dear PSWD Club President:    The finish line is only 49 days away and your Club has everything it needs to be at the front of the pack and on track to reach Honor Club. Seth Godin says, "The best future available to us is a future where you contribute your true self and your best work," and you never know where your best work can take you!

With the President's Recognition program as your guide, be sure to utilize these resources as you finish strong:

Remember,  when you ask people to join your Club...tell them you'd be HONORED!

See you at the finish line!

Optimistically,
Governor Ed Young &
International President Danny

P.S. Friends of Optimists count for membership and a new Club can organize with 15 Members.

Join Us

Do you want to get more involved in your community? As an Optimist Member, you will be welcomed into a Club of individual citizens who share a desire to "Bring Out the Best in Kids." We organize and participate in hands-on, interactive projects for kids. These projects range from Oratorical Contests to Youth Appreciation activities. As an Optimist Member, not only will you be connected to your local community, you'll also boast affiliation with about 90,000 Optimists around the world.
Visitors interested in learning more about Optimist Clubs in their area can visit the My Sidewalk page of the website. At My Sidewalk, you can request information about a variety of topics, and you will receive a response from an Optimist volunteer in your area. To go to the My Sidewalk page, please click here.

Become a Friend of Optimists
Explore the volunteer opportunities to help “Bring Out the Best in Kids” by becoming a Friend of Optimists. Helping kids has rarely been more important than today in a world where we are disconnected from each other and engaged with our interactive technology. Being a Friend of Optimists helps support the organization's diligent efforts to reach out to kids. Receive special e-mails and The Optimist magazine. Volunteer when you want. So what do you think? Will you be a friend?

To become a Friend of Optimists, you can apply online or check out the Friend of Optimists Brochure, which includes an application.

Start a New Optimist Club
If your local community is without an Optimist Club or if you are familiar with an activity that would be perfect for a single-focus group, consider starting a New Club.
